Picture Ghar is a film and speaker series organized by students in Dr. Hamid and Dr. Kirk’s Research Seminar in Screen Studies, with the goal of promoting Pakistani cinema within the wider LUMS community. Over the course of the semester students screen a variety of Pakistani films, running the gamut from classic to new, commercial to art to documentary, and relatively well known to more rare offerings. We also bring in guest speakers, who in the past have included writer and director Syed Noor, filmmaker Marya Javed and writer and producer Kamil Cheema.
